If you currently send out your tile to be fabricated: Assumptions:
The average kitchen has 50 ft of counter top to bullnose and polish
The fabricator will charge $6 per foot for a total of $300.
You will charge your customer $9 per foot for bullnosing.
50 ft times $9 = $450 your income from customer
50 ft times $6 = $300 your cost to fabricate
$450 - $300 = $150 your profit With the EdgeRight®: Assumptions:
You pay your installer $18. per hour
Your installer fabricates 12' of tile per hour with the EdgeRight®, so you have approximately 4.25 hours invested in fabricating.
4.25 hrs times $18 = $76.50
50 ft times $9 = $450.00 your income from customer
$450 - $76.50 = $373.50 your profit.
You've increased your profit by $223.50 and paid for the EdgeRight® in 3-4 kitchens! While this scenario doesn't consider the cost of the grinder and pads to do the job on-site, it also doesn't include the time and cost to package and ship or deliver the tile to a fabricator, or the delay on the jobsite while you are waiting for the finished tile to be returned.
